9 Weird Things About Me

Below are things you’d know if you were a good friend!  Get to know me a little better!

1. I carry chopsticks in my carry-on when I fly.  These have come in handy when I can’t find any plastic utensils.

2. I cannot resist taking personality quizzes!  I am an INFJ.  My Love Language is Quality Time.  Of Gretchen Rubin’s Four Tendencies, I am a Questioner.  My 5 top strengths from Gallop’s Strengths Finder quiz are connection, empathy, developer, learner, and problem solver.

3. I grew up eating snacks of bananas topped with peanut butter and mayonnaise.  So good!

4. I’ve collected rocks and been fascinated by gemstones and crystals for as long as I can remember.  A few years back a friend of mine tried to give me warnings of working with rocks and crystal grids.  I know I’d come in with the knowledge and decided not to further educate myself.  I continue to play, have fun, and follow my intuition when working with them.

5. Every big decision in my life came easily and effortlessly.  Once the decision was made, I simply walked the path to get from A to B.  These decisions included moving on from kindergarten to 1st grade.  Teachers wanted me to take kindergarten over again due to my birthday is late in the year.  I was the youngest in my class in my grade school and 3rd youngest in high school.  Which high school I went to was a clear choice when I asked my inner guidance in a meditation.  The decision to buy my house simply happened.  My decision to move to Japan – I never actually thought I wouldn’t do it, but it took a full year to get completely clear.

6. I’ve had gut feelings about people all my life and have seen those feelings confirmed.  I still go with my gut when I meet people.

7. I have always had horrible spacial skills, like I have no sense of direction.  Even after growing up in the same city for 32 years, I still needed a map for GPS to get around to most places.  On the other hand, intuitively seeking out the right way to go has worked for me both before GPS and I used it a couple of time in Japan (when I had no cell phone).

8. I observe a LOT! In fact, my parents told me even as a baby, I was fairly quiet and would sit and watch people for hours, and I still do!  I am fascinated by how people act, what they think, and why they do what they do.

9. I love to sing.  I sang karaoke in Japan often.  I was in choir all through high school.  I attended many meditations where we toned (just let the sounds and notes intuitively come out of our mouths).  I love all of it!

I hope you enjoyed these few random facts.  I’m happy to answer any questions!
